The companies have created a joint venture, ITCErum Packaging, which will enhance the international presence of their packaging using the Erum Group’s international implementation network. Morocco is the first country in which the agreement will be embodied
Through this strategic agreement, ITC Packaging and the Erum Group will work together to improve the international presence, expand the portfolio and the commercial catalog with new products. ITCErum Packaging will allow us to be closer to Moroccan customers due to the proximity strategy with which Erum has been working for decades, which improves logistics, reduces transport costs, and promotes sustainability and the circular economy. For its part, ITC Packaging will contribute its portfolio and know-how to the agreement to develop new, innovative and sustainable packaging concepts.
United for innovation, sustainability and international growth
The new agreement is in a business collaboration with common objectives of growth and expansion, improving the business while maintaining legal independence. In this sense, ITC Packaging is one of the main manufacturers of thin-walled plastic packaging in Europe, producing polypropylene injection containers with IML decoration, and a PET container blow-moulding division. Specialized in the development of food packaging, such as ice cream, dairy or baby food, they are also present in sectors such as cosmetics and household cleaning, with products such as detergent capsule packaging. The ITC group has three production plants, more than 50 injection and 10 blow molding machines, with a turnover of 78 million euros and direct customers in more than 30 countries.
For its part, the Erum Group provides a presence in more than 120 markets, with management and production plants in 22 countries. The corporation has plastic injection divisions (Erum Dynamic Solutions); connected road technology, with products such as the V16 traffic light or the connected cone (Erum Vial); environmental consultancy and waste management and treatment (ACTECO); products for the home (Erum Home); logistics and sustainability projects through Circular Economy (RTS), or the automotive products subsidiary (NovaErum), also participating in agrovoltaic projects. More than 3,000 employees are part of the Erum family, present on five continents.
With this agreement, the aim is to promote the commercial areas and proximity to the client, focusing on sustainability, the circular economy and innovation.
For Juan Manuel Erum, CEO of the ERUM Group, “this strategic alliance with ITC Packaging represents a huge step forward in our international presence, reaching more customers with a more diversified product portfolio. It is an example of how the union of synergies can make us stronger”. For his part, for Rafael Valls Serrano, President of ITC Packaging “this collaboration will allow us to internationalize our advanced packaging solutions in a more competitive way thanks to local manufacturing and will strengthen the ties between two companies open to face new challenges together”.
