Juan Manuel Erum, general director of the Erum Group, has received tribute from plastics professionals for his more than 40 years of professional career at the XXI Annual Meeting of the Sector organized by the associations AVEP and AIMPLAS, an event in which he received the “Granza de Oro” 2023. The event, held on Wednesday at the Hotel Balneario Las Arenas in Valencia, brought together more than 200 professionals, with the presence of important institutional representatives of the Generalitat Valenciana, such as the Regional Secretary of Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs.

With more than 40 years working on the development of new plastic products and materials that are more sustainable and respectful of the planet, Juan Manuel Erum is one of the most relevant professionals in the sector, innovating in projects for large retail clients with a global presence, or initiatives such as the manufacture of 100% recycled hangers, environmental management, the manufacture of automotive components, or creating global circular economy companies and models. Today, under the direction of the fourth generation of the Erum family, the Erum Group is a world leader in plastic injection, and one of the leaders in the manufacture of hangers.
In his acceptance speech, the general director of the Erum Group highlighted his work in promoting projects inside and outside Spain, creating employment and promoting diversification in other fields to adapt to the new challenges of society, such as clean energy or connected road technology, shaping new business models. Juan Manuel Erum thanked the generations that preceded him in managing the company for their efforts, and took the opportunity to recognize the work of the current fourth generation, composed of Coral Erum, Blanca Erum and Juanma Erum, at the head of the multinational corporation.
The Erum Group receives AVEP recognition
In addition to the awarding of the distinction to Juan Manuel Erum, the ERUM Group has received at the XXI Annual Meeting of the Plastics Sector the AVEP recognition diploma for its circular economy models, such as the RTS system (Return to the Source), through which hundreds of millions of hangers are recovered in more than 120 countries for reuse or recycling, avoiding the consumption of raw materials and reducing CO2 emissions. The certificate was collected by Coral Erum, CEO of Grupo Erum for Asia and America, CEO of the Corporation and responsible for the RTS project.
