It will be held from 27 to 31 May, with the fashion parade, by ANDE, where the young designer from the Valencian Community will be chosen.
The second edition of Alcoy Fashion Week was presented today at the Alcoy City Council, by Coral Erum, CEO of America and Asia of the Erum Group, Vicente Blanes, General Director of Aitex, Lorena Zamorano, Councillor for Tourism in the City of Alcoy and Laura Victoria Valencia, president of the Association of New and Young Designers of Spain (ANDE).
In this second edition, the #AlcoyEstaDeModa slogan is taken up again to involve the entire municipality in the different activities, giving visibility to the work of the young designer from Alcoy María Lunares, protagonist of the poster of this edition with her collection “Back to Fashion”.
With this collection, she tries to elevate herself as an informative proposal from which she seeks to raise awareness among the public of the need to embrace a more conscious and less impulsive consumption model.
The poster for this edition is signed by the designer Jordi Gomis, who made a brief presentation after its discovery, and has had the participation of the photographer Jorge Hinojosa.
As CEO of the Americas and Asia of the Erum Group, Coral Erum wanted to highlight the importance of focusing on sustainability in this second edition of Alcoy Fashion Week, because the need to rethink the traditional model of fashion and adopt more responsible and environmentally sustainable practices is evident. Prioritizing reduction, then reuse and finally recycling.
Great figures from the world of fashion such as Jesús María Montes-Fernández, Gervasio Pérez, Nuria Sardá, Alejandro Gómez Palomo and Sergio de Lázaro will participate.
Scheduling of activities
For the second edition of Fashion Week, different activities have been prepared with which we want to bring fashion, sustainability and recycling closer to society and, specifically, to future generations. To this end, different workshops, talks and round tables have been scheduled at the Alzamora Shopping Centre between 27th and 30th May, which will be attended by great figures from the world of fashion such as Jesús María Montes-Fernández, Gervasio Pérez, Nuria Sardá, Alejandro Gómez Palomo and Sergio de Lázaro among others, finding as a culmination of this Fashion Week the parade on May 31st in the new AITEX facilities, in which, with the help of ANDE, the young designer from the Valencian Community who will participate in a national competition representing our region will be chosen.
