ERUM GROUP AS A MODEL FOR INTERNATIONALISATION AND DIVERSIFICATION

Plásticos Erum gave a presentation during an informative event on Internationalisation for companies in the plastics sector held at the Instituto Tecnológico del Plástico (AIMPLAS) on 24 January.

The purpose of the meeting was to support companies in the plastics sector considering internationalisation as a strategic option for developing their businesses, and to describe the professional services and tools that could be useful to them when planning to do business abroad.

Erum Group’s growth model over the last 20 years was described as a successful case study of a strategy based on simultaneous internationalisation and diversification of activities.

Blanca Erum, a member of the company’s Board of Directors, described how the company had relied on its skills and processes to increase production volume and reduce manufacturing costs; increase competitiveness in overseas markets; raise quality and competitiveness from experience gained in competing at international level, and expand negotiating power to purchase materials and equipment.
