This recognition strengthens Erum Vial’s position as a leader in innovation and road safety.
Grupo PF Seguridad Vial S.L. (Erum Vial), a subsidiary of the Erum Group and specialized in road safety, has been awarded the Award for Best Innovative Company in the Startup category, awarded by the Club for Innovation of the Valencian Community, in the VI edition of the 2023 innovation awards. This recognition highlights Erum Vial’s innovation management for the development of connected road safety devices.
The event was attended by Felipe Carrasco, Regional Secretary of Industry, Commerce and Consumption, Rafael Escamilla, General Director of IVACE, Paula María Llobet, Delegate Councilor for Innovation, Technology, Digital Agenda and Investment Attraction, Paula María Llobet, Delegate Councilor for Innovation, Technology, Digital Agenda and Investment Capture, and José Capilla, Rector of the UPV, together with the president and secretary of the Club for Innovation of the Valencian Community, Paco Gavilán and Joaquín Membrado, respectively.
The award for best innovative company was collected by the CEO of Erum Vial, Juan Manuel Erum, and represents a testimony of Erum Vial’s contribution in the field of road safety, especially through the Led One Connected Emergency Light and the PF Cone. These products represent a commitment to road safety and also to innovation and sustainability.
Erum vial is the company specialized in road safety
Erum Vial is dedicated to the creation, manufacturing, distribution and marketing of road safety prevention elements. Its connected road technology, present in devices such as the Led One Connected Emergency Light and the PF Cone, improves the safety of users and operators on the road, both with light visible at more than 1,000 meters.
The connectivity of these devices, through the so-called Narrow Band IoT, which increases the coverage range, is a key aspect to develop new functions such as traffic and speed measurement, environmental or emissions information, and even a camera for viewing in real time in civil works.
A multidisciplinary and experienced team
The management of innovation to achieve Erum Vial’s connected devices is possible thanks to all the people who make up the Erum Group, especially the engineers specializing in industrial design and telematics, Miguel Verdú and Jorge Domenech, as well as the legal and in road safety, Mauro Díaz and Antonio Lucas, and Leonardo Nortes, who represent the heart of the project. A human capital that, together with the Erum Group’s experience in plastic injection, has made it possible to develop the tallest connected emergency light on the market, therefore, the most visible and the safest, and a connected cone with a multitude of applications.

Pioneering road technology in the European Union
Recently, Erum Vial carried out tests of its connected technology, through the cone called PF Cone, in collaboration with Vodafone Spain. The tests were attended by representatives from several European Union countries who were able to see first-hand the exceptional results of Erum Vial’s connected technology, through the DGT’s advanced 3.0 platform.
The development of this technology in Spain to improve road safety is setting a precedent in the European Union, a practical example that could be implemented in other countries in the near future, contributing to a safer future on the roads.
