ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
1. OBJECTIVE OF THE POLICY
Erum Group (hereinafter, “Erum” or the “company”, indistinctly) is a group of companies mainly dedicated to the design, injection and assembly of plastic parts with headquarters in Alcoy (Alicante, Spain) and with an international presence in the five continents.
The objective of this Policy is to establish the principles and commitments assumed in environmental matters both in its own activities and in its relationship with its Stakeholders.
2. SCOPE OF APPLICATION
The Policy applies to all companies of the Erum Group regardless of their geographical location.
3. THE GROUP’S COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT
The Erum Group, within the framework of its activities of Design, injection and assembly of plastic parts, considers it a priority to focus our efforts on achieving a business model based on the quality and excellence of our products and services, betting on continuous improvement and competitiveness within our sector, on our responsibility to customers and employees and on the balance we must maintain with our environment.
For this reason, the principles on which we base our philosophy, culture, values and business vision are aligned with the care of our employees, the sustainable development and circularity of our activities and processes from their conception, and the commitment to the total quality of our activities.
In this way, at Grupo Erum we assume the following PRINCIPLES:
Commitment and vocation to satisfy the perspectives of our customers, suppliers and employees, aligning our business objectives with their needs, supplying products, services and information that meet their expectations, and making them participants in our commitment to quality, health and safety, as well as caring for the environment in all our activities and decisions.
Responsibility in complying with the legal requirements applicable to our activity and with others that the organization may subscribe, based on our context and the needs and expectations of our stakeholders.
Mutability and the ability to be agile and flexible, adapting and anticipating changes, planning and managing them thanks to our great human potential, our technological development and the digitalisation of our processes.
Involvement with our employees in the prevention of injuries and the deterioration of their health, in relation to work, as well as with the preservation of our environment, by integrating the principles of Industrial Ecology into our DNA, acting to ensure the efficient use of resources and raw materials, contributing to the mitigation of climate change by calculating and reducing our carbon footprint, the purchase of renewable energy and the optimization and reduction of energy use.
Circularity, Innovation and Ecodesign in our processes, products and services, conceiving them from the perspective of durability, reuse, repair and use of recycled and recyclable materials, valuing the resources contained in them, evaluating their global impact, and minimising the production of waste through effective management and a commitment to recovery options aimed at zero waste.
Collaboration with customers, suppliers and partners that allow us to formulate new materials and research into the use and development of biomaterials that are reusable, recyclable or compostable, as well as in the elimination and reduction of the use of hazardous or harmful substances throughout the life cycle of our products, developing new consumption models, use and collaborative business, and thus taking advantage of existing synergies
Communication and transparency regarding information relating to our products and services through voluntary certification of our activities from an eco-design perspective, life cycle analysis or energy efficiency.
Promotion of our workers through the creation and development of policies and processes that facilitate the development of the functions of the position and that allow them to be compatible with their life outside of work.
Continuous improvement of our management systems assuming and of our performance in terms of occupational and environmental safety, ensuring a level of technical capacity appropriate to our needs, enhancing the knowledge, sensitivity, skills and competencies of our personnel.
Active participation and consultation with our employees in the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of the performance of our actions in terms of safety, health and well-being in the organisation.
4. SETTING ANNUAL ENVIRONMENTAL TARGETS
The Group defines annual objectives within the framework of its environmental management system based on the following principles:
• Innovation and product development.
• Sustainable growth and continuous improvement of the company by monitoring process performance, environmental indicators, risk and opportunity analysis and control over significant environmental aspects.
• Optimization of consumption of raw materials and natural resources.
• Environmental protection based on the prevention of pollution that may be generated as a result of the activity.
Plásticos Erum is committed to strict compliance with legal requirements regarding the environment and product requirements, others that the company subscribes to and those derived from the needs and expectations of all interested parties.
