Recycled Hangers: made with certified post-consumer recycled plastic
Our recycled hangers are manufactured using recycled polypropylene and polystyrene, ensuring the same technical performance and durability as conventional plastic. We are committed to traceable materials and controlled processes that guarantee quality and consistency in every production run.
What makes a hanger truly recycled?
Not all hangers considered “sustainable” meet the same criteria. A recycled hanger involves the use of recovered materials, controlled transformation processes, and monitoring to guarantee the quality of the final product.
At Erum Group, we work with recycled plastic integrated into our production processes, applying control and traceability criteria that ensure consistency and performance in every manufacturing run. Our recycling expertise allows us to transform these materials into new hangers capable of meeting the demands of the retail environment.
Material and Certifications
Post-consumer recycled polypropylene
The main polymer for our recycled hangers. Recovered from post-consumer packaging waste and products, processed with rigorous control of MFI, density, and mechanical resistance.
Post-consumer recycled polystyrene
For models requiring greater rigidity. Same lot-to-lot homogeneity as virgin PS.
GRS (Global Recycled Standard)
Certifies that our products contain verified recycled materials and that we operate responsibly throughout the supply chain. It is the international benchmark standard for recycled content.
UNE-EN 15343
European standard confirming that our recycled plastics are identified and controlled throughout the supply chain, with full traceability from waste origin to final material.
ISO 9001
Certifies the quality and efficiency of our production processes, ensuring lot-to-lot consistency.
REACH
Confirms that our recycled materials are free of hazardous substances regulated by European chemical legislation.

All Erum Group recycled hanger models, with technical specifications, are in our complete catalog.
From material to return: the complete circle
Manufacturing with recycled material is the first step. The second is to collect post-consumer hangers and convert them back into raw material for the next cycle.
Erum Group operates under the RTS recirculation model in over 96 countries. In 2025, we reused 175 million hangers through these systems.
Frequently Asked Questions about Recycled Hangers
What is the difference between a hanger with recycled material and a recyclable hanger?
A recyclable hanger is designed to be recycled at the end of its useful life. A hanger with GRS-certified recycled material is made from material that has already been recycled, and that content is verified and documented by lot. For ESG reporting, what counts is the recycled content of the purchased material, not the future recyclability of the product.
What percentage of recycled material do Erum Group hangers contain?
Our retail hangers contain up to 100% post-consumer recycled material (rPCR). For specific models with additional technical requirements, the percentage may vary.
Do recycled hangers perform the same as virgin plastic hangers?
Yes. Thanks to the rigorous classification, washing, and quality control applied at Acteco, an Erum Group company, our recycled hangers meet the same technical standards for strength, durability, and surface finish as their virgin plastic equivalents.
What certifications attest to the recycled content?
GRS (Global Recycled Standard) and UNE-EN 15343. Erum Group issues technical documentation with the percentage of recycled content and full traceability of the material's origin.
Is certified recycled content valid for ESG reports?
Yes. The documentation generated by Erum Group is directly usable in ESG reports under Scope 3, category 1 (purchased goods and services), and compatible with the audit requirements of major international fashion chains.
Erum Group manufactures recycled hangers with material it produces, certifies them to the most demanding standards, and documents them so your sustainability department has the data it needs. Verifiable recycled content starts with the material, not the declaration.
